Van Morrison’s Astral Weeks blew my mind in college. As I said on blip.fm — or, for some of you, Twitter — it’s one of this blogger’s seminal sonic collections. Astral Weeks is important to me like 1999 is important. Or the first Velvet Underground album.

I can’t tell you how amped I am to have in my datebook an appointment to hear Van Morrison perform the entire album, live, tomorrow night at the Hollywood Bowl. Crisp outdoor air and cool music. There are five billion worse ways to spend a Saturday night.

Living in L.A. rules so majorly. As I also wrote in my DJ notes, Cali life so slays Midwestern life. And as was meant to be said, but blip space would not allow:
